A great turnout for the Hare 'n Hounds Race 3, 15 paddlers, it was a cold morning but we soon warmed up, as it was quite a tough paddle up to the start with lots of flow to contend with! Lots of waves, chop, sailors and rowers to contend with in TT2 ... which was (sort of) exciting ...but we all enjoyed excellent racing and their were some great performances!

Paddling well Jelly/Jess in K2 took the win in TT1, and have been promoted to Category 8! Struan came in 2nd with Jean just hanging onto his wash in 3rd. Colin and Jake came just seconds apart but Jake took 4th place, as Colin paddled a category down (so 60 seconds were added to his times) but still they had a good battle together and worked well! Bob came 5th, with Ray just 2 seconds behind. Eryk paddled very well in his C1 considering the chop and waves, he came 7th, Colin 8th. Milan came 9th having had a good first half but couldn't hang onto Jake and Colin. Graham Bulmer struggled and was demoted to Cat 10, I'm sure he will bounce back next race! Young Oli paddled with Carol and enjoyed there K2 race, it was also good to see Graham Wells in a K1, having paddled a sea trip on Anglesey the day before! Plus Joe Corr for kicking off the junior race, paddling back from the road bridge .. well done Joe!

Jake paddled constantly to take a win in TT2, with Colin just 4 seconds behind. Jelly/Jess continued to push on well and came 3rd, whilst Milan caught Jean to take 4th, Jean 5th. Bob 6th, Eryk 7th and Ray 8th. TT2 was getting a bit wild towards the end, so well done to everyone that battled the waves, avoided the sailors and the rowers!

A BIG THANKS to Ian Crozier and Stephanie Doubt for doing a great job timing ... (which ment I could race too, much appreciated!) and to Carol for organizing the soup kitchen! Great Team effort from everyone, a great morning's exercise session! Thanks Chester ... and we did look good in our New Kit too!!
