Big thanks to all that turned out today for the Hare 'n Hounds, we did think we'd get very wet but we were very fortunate the wind kept the rain away and it even felt warm for a November day!
15 paddlers, which is a great turnout with just 1 race left in the 2015 Series. James Roberts paddled very well and took some catching, he went on to win TT1 and got promoted to the next category '6'. Carol and young Olli paddled K2 and came home strongly in 2nd place closely followed by Jean, David H. is still going strong and came 4th. Followed by the category 6 paddlers Bob, Jess and Rona (k2) just broken up by Milan, then Roger. Jake had blown up on the straight after several sprint bursts. Graham B. was also having a steady paddle and got demoted to 10. Meanwhile Jelly in her 3rd H 'n H did yet another PB and took another minuet of her time, no stopping her she'll be moving up to the next category soon at that rate! Parky brought up the rear smiling as usual enjoying every moment!
David H. went onto win TT2 with Milan in 2nd, followed by James, Roger overtook Bob, but Bob overtook Jess and Rona. Jean came next followed by Jake anf finally Graham.
Ray Stamp is still in the lead for TT1 with 37 points, and David for TT2 with 39 points ... one more race left, Ray may take some catching but TT2 is still wide open!
Big Thanks to Ian Crozier and Steph Snowden (Jelly and Olli's Mum) for helping with the timing and to Carol and Jean in the Soup Kitchen, just one more race left Sunday 29th November ... 5 races to count this year!
After Racing many paddlers stopped for a Club House/Garden Tidy, it was amazing how much we did in just 2 hours, the Club looks 'loved again' special thanks to Mark Roberts and his power scrubber and Ian's Strimmer, this made it much easier for the rest of us! Everyone's help was very much appreciated Thanks again!
