Thanks to everyone that turned out to race the Hare 'n Hounds on 16th July, a little low on numbers but a pleasure to be out on the river on such a lovely night! Well done to Jess and Rona on winning in K2 in TT1, Struan wasn't going to let his sister have it all her way as he pushed hard in TT2 to take the win. James Roberts improving all the time came 3rd. Andy Bie had a lot of catching up to do starting of 3mins behind everyone else, as he was in Div 3 on his own, but he moved into 4th. Ray Stamp paddled well in 5th with Dave Madeley and Parky just 1 second apart. Graham Bulmar brought up the rear.

Graham Bulmer leads the TT1 series with Jake leading TT2 series, its wide open still so please come along and support the H 'n H Series!

Next Race Thursday 20th August 6.00pm at the club!

Box End WQF Quadrathlon Swim, Kayak, Bike, Run.

Jean Ashley had a great race at Box End Quad in Bedford. She won the ladies event overall and is back in fine form after a slow start to her season, so well done Jean she's back with vengeance!

Please let me know if you've been racing a few lines about your race, I'm sure will help promote our club and motivate other paddlers! THANKS

Very hot conditions but at least a breeze made it bearable. For the second time in a row Bob Scholey messed up at the portage taking a dunking at the second get-in. David Hatton won the division 1-3 group  ahead of Richard Rogers whilst for the div 4-6 paddlers Roger Williams was first with Bob in second place despite his misshap. Ray Stamp was again unopposed in the div7-9 category.

Overall Ray, not surprisingly, is comfortably leads category 1, Roger is ahead of Bob by three points in category 2 and Melvin Swallow leads David by four points in category 3.

A good turnout of 15 paddlers battled a stiff breeze on Tuesday night. Jenny Swallow (11m 38s) lead the ladies home for once turning the tables on Jenny Illidge (12m 03s). Richie Rogers (10m 44s) comfortably won the seniors from Mark Tidman (12m 16s) while David Hatton (10m 52s) and Jess Crozier (14m 14s) were unopposed in the two junior categories.

Overall Mark leads Richie by one point in the seniors and Jenny Illidge is seven points ahead of Jean Ashley in the Ladies. David is some way ahead of Jake Oldfield in the juniors and Rona Fishburn leads Jess by three points in the junior ladies.
