A Big thanks to all who paddled at Chester Hasler 2 on 9th August. We hope you enjoyed our wonderful river and you all enjoyed the racing!
Special thanks to those who helped with the organisation. Running a race is a team effort and I appreciate the help from all of you.

Thanks Adele

With lots of people back from holiday there was a strong turnout for last nights barrel races plus several blanket finishes to give the timers (Helen Marriott and Jenny Scholey) an exciting time. John O'Grady was again the quickest paddler with a time (10m 8s) not bettered for at least eight years.

Yet another very windy night, too much for a couple of members who came to paddle although it did moderate a bit after the first runs. However the conditions did not deter Eryk Marcinkowski in his high kneeler canadian from taking part in his first barrel race and recording a very creditable 12m 51s. Fastest man of the night was John O'Grady in 10m 13s and well done the ladies, they had 50% of the turn out.

At last a Tuesday night without half a gale blowing. Unfortunately only five paddlers completed the time trial in what were the best conditions for months. Jenny Swallow made the most of it by recording a personal best of 42m 26s and was the only paddler in the div 1 to 3 category. Roger Williams was fastest of the div 4 to 6 group in 49m 26s despite getting his rudder stuck in shallow water at the second portage and Ray stamp (26m 06s) was quickest of the div 7 to 9 paddlers.
