For once it was a lovely warm calm evening on Tuesday but only nine paddlers were out on the water to make the most of it. David Hatton with Georgia Hunt in K2 were quickest boat with 41m 51s but no individuals did the full div 1 to 3 course. James Roberts was fastest div 4 to 6 paddler recording 47m 31s.

The next time trial is the last of the season so lets try and have a good turn out.

There were 13 paddlers out last night but it was lucky for David Hatton who won the junior race in 10m 29s, the fastest time of the night. Georgia Hunt was also in sparkling form achieving a personal best by 13s to win the ladies race in 12m 47s. Richard Rogers won the seniors with 10m 33s.

Overall with two more races to go Mark Tidman leads Bob Scholey by eight points in the seniors while David has an unassailable lead in the juniors. In the ladies Jenny Swallow leads Timea Harris by five points with Adele Blakeborough one point further behind. Jess Crozier leads the junior ladies and is guarenteed to be at least joint winner.

Numbers on the low side for Hare 'n Hounds :( but at least the ones that raced all got lots of points!! Great effort from you all and thanks to Helen Marriott for helping me time too.

Ray Stamp is still in the lead of TT1 whilst Bob Scholey moves into first place in TT2, just one point between the K2 Trophy with Jess/Jelly with 21 and Teifi/Richie with 20!

Also Just wanted to say Georgia Hunt and John Hatton also started the race, after a slight hitch (a wet one!!) they did finish the TT1 course, I couldn't add them to the results as their slow times affected the Promotions/Demotions dramatically.

Next Race Thursday 8th September, last evening one before we move back to Sundays for the last couple!

Breezy conditions and a high river level made for an interesting time trial yesterday but at least the portages were less muddy due to the high water. Jon O'Grady was fastest paddler of the night with 42m 34s (bungee and balls in place) and Bob Scholey won the div 4 to 6 race in exactly 50m.

Overall with two more time trials to go before the end of the season Ray Stamp (div 7 to 9) and Richard Rogers (div 1 to 3) have unassailable leads in their categories but while James Roberts leads the div 4 to 6 group he can be caught.

Some good times were recorded on Tuesday night in warm conditions with only a slight breeze. Georgia Hunt recorded a personal best of 13m 0s and David Hatton equaled his pb with 10m 23s, while Adele Blakeborough paddled round in 12m 49s, her best time for eight years. Jon O'Grady was fastest paddler of the night with 10m 12s and Jenny Swallow fastest lady in 11m 34 with David winning the junior race.

With three more Barrel races to go before the end of the season Mark Tidman leads the seniors by six points from Bob Scholey and Jenny leads the ladies by the same amount from Adele. In the Juniors David is seven points ahead of Jake Oldfield while Jess Crozier leads Rona Fishburn by ten points in the junior ladies.
