December became dramatic as we have certainly been having some awful storms that has resulted in flooding and homes without power around our coasts. Here in Chester this is now resulting in extremely high river levels. PLEASE be careful if you do venture on the water. Here are a few pictures taken by Peter Hadfield to show the extent of the rise in levels.
A few dates for your diary in 2014. We have sent out renewal forms in the post over the last few days. If you have not received one please let steve Spreyer know.
The Club bar will be re-opening on tuesday 7th January
There is a First aid course planned for 8th March in the trainning room, please let Peter Hadfield know if you would like to attend.
We will be sending out the handbook as usual once we receivve your renewal. Please check to see if you are rota'd for a duty. Those who have not done this before will be notified of dates where we will provide training for you and then you will be allocated duty with an experienced member.
Lets hope the storms move on and the weather settles. For the hardy ones among us the Deefrost Series starts the sailing seaon on 20th January weather permitting.
So we wish you a great 2014 and hope you have a good season on the water.
